About

Hi,

welcome to my Portfolio.

I started coding back in 2018, using Java in high school.

I decided to further advance my career, attending and graduating from Sheridan College.

Here are some of the knowledge I have acquired throughout Sheridan, my co-ops, and on my own time:

Main Skills
Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, MySQL, HTML/CSS
Libraries/
Frameworks
PyTorch, NumPy, MatPlotLib, Bootstrap, Angular, Flask, Spring Boot, Jinja2, GSAP

Speaking of co-ops, here are my previous three:

Machine Learning is a significant and complex field. In our project, we explored existing model functionalities:

  • Utilized Python for model training to detect lower-back pain accurately

  • Updated a pain prediction model to enhance accuracy

  • Adjusted existing algorithms and tested with multiple datasets

  • Tracked movement and emotions, comparing them to ideal situations, making adjustments where necessary

  • Collaborated with other teams to implement the different models within the app

This experience deepened my understanding of Machine Learning and model optimization. I also dove deep into multi-team collaboration, learning about what was expected from me.

Software Engineering Reserach Assistant

This co-op had a project which had a goal that was to provide remote access to hospital resources for proper training:

  • Collaborating with universities and medical professionals to create a virtual hospital environment using Unity and C#

  • Maintained and updated different rooms including the Operating Room and CT Scanning room

  • Implemented object interactions with VR headset controllers and objects within the room

  • Developed an automated emailing system for certification, allowing for near-instantaneous sending of certificates to users

This was a significant milestone for me as I worked with professionals, alongside enhanced my familiarity with the agile methodology.

Virtual Reality Developer

During my time in this role, I effectively managed numerous responsibilities and contributed to my team's success:

  • Communicated respectfully with government officials

  • Assisted with technical issues: printing, computer malfunctions, workspace setup

  • Managed time effectively to assist hundreds of people

  • Reduced ticket queue from ~300 to ~50 with help from co-workers

  • Trained new co-ops during downtime, ensuring a smooth transition before contract end

These efforts ensured efficient operations and a seamless transition for the upcoming co-ops and my team.

ITS Help Desk

Completing these three co-ops gave me the fundamentals to understand what it takes to become a productive member of a team.

I am happy to announce that I have been working at RAVL as an Associate Engineer since January, and have been learning a lot throughout these past few months!
